Anita wins “Best Female Artist” award at Latin American Music

Anita was voted Best Female Artist at the Latin American Music Awards. The event, which pays tribute to singers from across Latin America, took place Thursday, the 15th in Miami, United States.

The Brazilian has won big names in music like Shakira, Becky G, Karol G and Natti Natasha. On top of that, the singer was also nominated for the Social Artist of the Year category.

Anita also sang on stage and sang Mi Niña, her partnership with Maluma, Myke Towers and Wisin. The day before, the artist’s press service had clarified speculations that she could not participate in the event because she had tested positive for Covid-19.

To participate in the Latin AMAs Award, singer Anitta, last Monday (12), performed a rapid type test for the Coronavirus and the result was positive. After this review, the award’s production again requested two additional tests – laboratory tests of the type of polymerase chain reaction that are negative, ”the singer’s team explained.

The award was broadcast live on Telemundo, the American Spanish-speaking television channel, yesterday.
