Dozens of music fans are thrilled that Maestro Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja paid a visit to Oscar winner AR Rahman’s music studio in Dubai.
Rahman, who posted a photo with Ilaiyaraaja, on his Instagram timeline wrote, “Such a pleasure to welcome the Maestro to our Firdaus studio…I hope he composes something amazing for the Firdaus Orchestra to play in the future !
Both musical directors are considered legends by fans of good music around the world. Interestingly, Rahman was a keyboardist working for Ilaiyaraaja, before becoming a musical director himself.
Rahman and Ilaiyaraaja’s photo delighted not only fans, but also several prominent actors and singers, many of whom expressed their excitement. Actress Shraddha Srinath, rapper Blaaze, music producer Meghdeep Bose and singer Hariharan are among those who reacted together to the legends image.
One of the country’s greatest musical directors, Ilaiyaraaja, has announced a sequel to his popular album ‘How to name it’. The composer chose to release a video making the announcement.
He said, “In movies, there are sequels, right? There is a part I, a part II, a part III. ‘Superman I’, ‘Superman 2’, ‘Superman 3’ or a ‘Batman 1,2,3,4.’ I thought about why such a thing shouldn’t happen in music. Therefore, ‘How to name it 2?’ will arrive soon.
The news thrilled fans as the debut album was nothing short of a masterpiece.
The instrumental album, which included 10 Indo-Western fusion tracks, was widely praised for its quality.
