Family demands justice after producer was shot and killed outside music studio in Hialeah


HIALEAH, Florida. – New details emerge following a deadly shooting outside a Miami-Dade music studio.

The family of victim Louis Calvin Howard III, 51, are searching for answers after his unexpected death.

“It’s a shock,” said Victor Howard, the victim’s brother. “It tears my family apart.”

The fatal shooting happened Friday morning outside IMG Strongarm Studios in Hialeah.

Family members say the music producer had just finished work and was returning home to look after his 80-year-old father, and while waiting for an Uber he was shot.

“To hear something like that, so insane, you know, he was a good-hearted man, everyone loves him,” Victor Howard said. “He is very well known in the music industry. Everyone around him spoke so highly of him.

Louis Howard was taken to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital where he died of his injuries.

The music producer who went by the name Ugly Music is survived by his 26-year-old son, mother, father, siblings and many other family members.

“If the shooter, or anyone affiliated with the shooter, if you know what’s going on, please come forward, give him what he deserves, which is justice,” said Victor Howard.
