CONCORD, N.C. (WBTV) — Charlotte Motor Speedway will be the place to be this Memorial Day weekend, as America’s Home for Racing becomes the new home of Circle K Speed Street, an age-old tradition several decades that celebrates music, motorsports and more.
From May 27-29, Circle K Speed Street will amplify Concord’s unparalleled fun and excitement – bringing premier musical numbers, driver appearances, interactive games and displays, and a wealth of entertainment to the heart of motorsport country.
“The pandemic has given us a great opportunity to watch Speed Street with the aim of reinventing the experience and bringing even more entertainment to fans,” said Jay Howard, executive director of 600 Festival, the organization at nonprofit that, along with its team at CSM Production, has been producing Speed Street for over 25 years. “As we invest in growing the festival to make it an even bigger draw, working alongside our Charlotte Motor Speedway partners to create a unique Memorial Day weekend party venue just makes a lot of sense. “
Grammy-nominated rapper Flo Rida will kick off this year’s celebration of music and motorsports on Friday, May 27, while legendary rock band Steve Miller Band will take the stage on Saturday, May 28 from the largest production stage ever built in the fan area outside Turn Une.

Four-time Grammy-nominated rapper Flo Rida will kick off Memorial Day weekend musical festivities with a 75-minute performance featuring internationally acclaimed hits like “Low,” “Right Round” and “My House.” “.
Hailing from Miami Gardens, Florida, Flo Rida’s career has yielded four studio albums and collaborations with stars like T-Pain, Sia, Kesha, Timbaland, Rick Ross, Sean Kingston and Lil Wayne.
Steve Miller Band Saturday
Saturday at Circle K Speed Street belongs to fans of classic rock, with Steve Miller Band taking the stage to entertain fans with a musical collection of instantly recognizable songs spanning the band’s five decades of music. The 90-minute set will feature fan favorites like “The Joker”, “Take the Money and Run”, “Fly Like an Eagle”, “Jet Airliner” and “Jungle Love”.
In addition to A-list musical numbers on the Circle K Speed Street stage each day, the 10-acre fan zone will include driver appearances by some of NASCAR’s biggest names, interactive games and displays, food trucks, souvenir transporters, partner activations and more. . TICKETS:Circle K Speed Street will be open to fans each day with a ticket to one of three NASCAR events over the weekend of May 27-29, including Friday’s North Carolina Education Lottery 200, Friday’s Alsco Uniforms 300 Saturday or the Cola-Cola 600 on Sunday. for Speed Street access will also be available for just $20.
