You have very good music here, why did you take so long to conquer the UG music industry?

Well, first let me thank you for appreciating my talent, and my records as a musician, Thank you indeed. Back to Answering your question it’s very difficult to break into the Ugandan music industry When you’re not in the field I mean I’m in South Africa I can’t be played as a artist who is in the field, so I think, I need to come home and people will definitely know the taste sound that comes out of me.

When did you really start playing music professionally?

I started music professionally, in 2015, when I won the “East Rand Search for Talent in 2015” held at the Emperors palace Barnyard Theater, making me the first foreign musician to win the audition, which gave me confidence to kick start myself, knowing that I’m good at what I do. ( Music)

How do you promote your music since you are based in South Africa?

It’s not very easy as it seems or says, but I always try to do my best, to reach out to prominent TV personalities, media personalities to help get my records out there because they are really good for the ears of my people.

You have a well-established record company in South Africa, you have helped musicians and everything, where do you find resources to manage that?

Yes that’s very true, I own a label, called “The Music Venom Ent of Africa” and yes that’s true I recently signed a fresh young talent “Belindah”, to help light a candle… ..

But going back to your answer, I’m also signed to an American label owned by a “billionaire Jose Duran”, so the deal came with a certain amount of money, which I won’t disclose, so I’m using some part of the money to invest in something that I know very well and understand very well.

So by signing artists under my “label”, you all know that harvests come from sowing.

You recently signed a beautiful singer, Belindah. Rumor has it that you push his music and take care of his bedroom needs as well. Is it true ?

Rumors are always people’s imagination, but not reality in real life, I signed “Belindah”, gave her my vision, and she loved it, so all I want and wish for her is is to make and deliver great music to our beloved fans.

I’m not interested or have any intention of having it in my bed, I’m professional, and I always keep it that way….

Your song with Daddy Andre BE HAPPY, really moved, who wrote it?

Well, the good news is that we both wrote the song together, me and Daddy Andre, (co-produced the song with him), giving him my ideas and so did BeHappy. Because I’m also a good music producer/sound engineer with a degree in sound engineering now.

What is the message you are trying to convey in this song?

The message is quite simple and straightforward, always be happy, don’t worry about life’s challenges, appreciate what you have, and others you don’t have, will meet you on the way as long as you are happy.

Who produced and mastered the song?

Like I said, we co-produced the song together but dad André did the mastering for the final piece.

How did you manage to get Papa André on board?

Papa André is more of a brother to me, we talk every day, so let’s talk about music, he believes in me and my craft, and he always tells me that I’m unique and versatile, so it gave me a chance to his attention, then, by offering to come, he loved it, and before everyone knew it, he was with me.

Apart from music, what are you doing in South Africa?

I am a professional air traffic controller at OR Tambo international airport / Businessman with my own other businesses, own city cars etc.

What major music honors or awards have you held or been nominated for recently?

Well, there are many to mention, but Coke Studio Awards to Zim, Starqt Awards, I have three, etc.

How do you see the UG music industry?

Ugandan music industry first of all, we are talented and above all our people love to support us as long as you make great music.

Take a look at Azawi, she got all the support, and I congratulate her and her team on their success. So we should take as an example that once you have good music, you have full support, and so far this is the biggest issue.

Beautiful singers like you are always surrounded by girls, when do you hope to settle down and what kind of woman do you want to settle down with?

Hahahahaha, I’m so humbled to know about you that I’m handsome, I didn’t know that at all, and yes you’ll be surrounded by ladies, but knowing what you want and where you’re going is important in life.

“I’m just a simple guy, just wanting someone real and ready to settle down. That’s if I have one.
