Tencent Music Entertainment (TME) has entered into a strategic partnership with Japanese animation film studio and distribution company CoMix Wave Films (CWF).
CoMix Wave Films is best known for the works of Makoto Shinkai and Jiro Tsunoda.
According to TME, Makoto Shinkai Studio, which is an emerging animation studio under CWF, “has caught the attention of Chinese animation fans” for his works such as Your Name and Weathering With You.
As part of this new partnership, the soundtracks of 17 popular animated films, including 5 centimeters per second and The Garden of Words, both directed by Makoto Shinkai, will be broadcast on TME’s music platforms, including QQ Music, Kugou Music, Kuwo Music and WeSing. .
